Susan Ward

It was studying abroad in Italy and Greece while attending the University of Georgia that first ignited my passion for travel. After those transformative months , I went on to earn my BA in history, with an emphasis on Italian and European history, then my MBA at the College of William and Mary. After a brief career in the corporate world, I knew in my heart my future was in the world of travel. My passion is helping others make the most of their precious vacation time.
I owned a cruise-only travel firm from 1994 to 2007, then evolved into the full service, land and cruise advisor that I am today. I have traveled to over 60 counties, many of them multiple times, to expand my knowledge base. I use my extensive destination background – in Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, Alaska, South America, the South Pacific and Asia – to give clients the advice they need to make each day of their trip the most memorable it can be. With my connections through Virtuoso and relationships worldwide, I provide access to the world’s best luxury hotels, cruise lines and tour operators, complete with exclusive amenities and upgrades clients can’t get anywhere else.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, traveling (of course!) and cycling.

From early on, my family fostered in me a deep appreciation for exploration and adventure, making travel an integral part of who I am. During my time as a student at Georgia College and State University, I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy. I was immersed in the Italian culture and lived like a local for several months, hopping on trains during weekends to see more of the country.
When I graduated with a degree in Exercise Science in 2017, I began a career as an exercise and nutrition professional. But the lure of travel Inspired me to begin a career as a travel advisor alongside my stepmother Susan Ward. In just a few short years, my career has grown by leaps and bounds. I have traveled extensively and developed trusting relationships with my clients who appreciate my passion and commitment to crafting unique experiences for them. I'm committed to providing unparalleled service, ensuring my clients' satisfaction, curating journeys of a lifetime.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking with loved ones, keeping fit at the gym. hiking with my Australian shepherd Kingsley and traveling!
